Pill Box (Type FW3/22)

In the build-up to WW2, thousands of pre-cast concrete pill boxes were built to protect coastline, roads, railways, canals and other important infrastructure.

They came in many shapes and sizes and we have chosen type 22 (official designation FW3/22) as the subject for our model.

As you can see from the photos, with the roof removed, the correct internal arrangement is represented (designed to guard against the ricochet of incoming fire).

Simple to construct, consisting of just two parts, the base and the roof.
